You probably already know me. Well, maybe not me specifically, but someone similar to me. I’m the guy who watches shows like Top Chef, Man vs. Food and Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations. The guy who likes to cook and try new restaurants. The guy who takes pictures of his food and mobile uploads them on facebook. The guy who likes to think he’s a foodie and likes to cook the occasional dinner party for friends and family.
The guy who loves to eat.
The guy who loves food.
The guy who writes a food blog when he has no knowledge or training in the area whatsoever and really has no business writing a blog to begin with.
I started eatingwithderek as a project to chronicle everything about food in my life. At first it was just a little something I did in college to share my eating experiences with friends. But over time it has become my pet project – something I enjoy doing to get away from the real world.
So I hope you will enjoy your visit to my blog. If you have any requests for recipes, suggestions on how I can improve my blog, or just want to leave a comment, please feel free to do so! I would greatly appreciate it.
Happy Eating!
Derek
Breyton_BMW from E46 just checkin out your blog. Keep up the good work. Might consider some of these places when I go there in Oct.
this page is awesome. i sometimes think i want to be a food critic. the pictures are awesome and the dungeness crab eggs benedict looks goood. i went to the farmers market in sf at the ferry building, and i thought the peaches had to be soft so i told my cousins (who i was with) and we ended up buying like 7 total and they all were mushy. cool website.
